Viewing Japanese Version

If you are not using a Japanese operating system, to be able to view Citibank International Personal Banking Website in Japanese, you have to download the appropriate language pack or browser.

Besides viewing Japanese, if you are using Internet Explorer 4, you can also input Japanese characters to our Web forms by using Microsoft Global Input Method Editor.

Netscape for Windows

You have to download free fonts from the Internet, and then follow the steps explained at:

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 for Windows 95/98/NT

  1. Open Favorites menu, select Software Updates, then Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you do not have it on your favorites, you can access the software update channel from this address: http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ie40/download/cdf/iechannl.htm.
    For Windows 98 users, you can also go to Windows Update Product Updates page.
  2. Click Internet Explorer Components Download page link.
  3. Wait for Active Setup to be initialized. When the question "Active Setup is about to determine what internet components are installed on your computer. Is this OK?" appears, click Yes button.
  4. Scroll the page down to Multi-language Support section. Check Japanese Language Support.
  5. Click Next button on the bottom right of the screen.
  6. Select a download site near to you, then click Install Now button.
  7. After download is complete, restart your computer.
  8. You can now view the Japanese version on your browser.
 

Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 for Windows 95

  1. Go to Internet Explorer 3 Language Pack download page.
  2. Choose language pack: Japanese.
  3. Click Next button.
  4. Choose a download site near to you.
  5. After download is complete, run the downloaded program and then restart your computer.
  6. You can now view the Japanese version on your browser.
 

Other versions and platforms

Not all versions and platforms of Netscape and Internet Explorer are able to display Japanese. To find out, please go to these addresses:

 

Microsoft Global Input Method Editor

  1. Go to Microsoft Global IME download page.
  2. Choose product: Microsoft Global IME for Japanese
  3. Click Next button.
  4. Choose a download site near to you.
  5. After download is complete, run the downloaded program and then restart your computer.
  6. Windows displays the Global IME icon on the task bar whenever Internet Explorer is active. To write in Japanese characters, click the Global IME icon, select Japanese IME, and start typing.
